RAPID Fund

RAPID (Responding to Pakistan’s Internally Displaced) is a funding mechanism that was established in September 2009 under a cooperative agreement between Concern Worldwide and USAID’s Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA). It was designed to respond quickly to the urgent needs of Pakistanis displaced due to conflicts, crises and disasters in Pakistan.

Since 2009, RAPID fund has provided lifesaving assistance to over 1.5 million individuals in conflict and flood affected areas. The RAPID fund supports local, national and international non-profit organizations in providing humanitarian assistance to Internally Displaced Persons (IDP’s) and disaster affected communities in the following sectors:

1. Water, Sanitation & Hygiene
2. Shelter & Settlement
3. Agriculture & Food Security
4. Health
5. Logistics Support, Relief Commodities
6. Nutrition
7. Economic Recovery & Market System
8. Protection
9. Humanitarian Coordination and Information Management
