| In Rawalpindi City, Rawalpindi Urban Development Programme (RUDP) partners, Al-Fallah Development Foundation (ADF) and Pakistan Institute for Environment-Development Action Research (PIEDAR), jointly organized an event to mark International Women’s Day. The event, which was held at the Shalimar Hotel in Rawalpindi, was attended by 80 women, including community members, local activists, RUDP programme participants, members of civil society organizations and local government representatives. The strategy is aimed at building the capacity
of Concern and numerous local NGOs to respond to emergencies in a timely
and effective manner. Under
Concern’s emergency response strategy, MOUs are signed with local
NGO partners, who already have a presence in disaster prone areas.
