RAPID Fund
Responding
to Pakistan’s
Internally Displaced (RAPID) Fund is a funding mechanism which has been
established under a cooperative agreement between Concern Worldwide and the
USAID Office of US Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/OFDA). Under this
agreement, OFDA are funding Concern Worldwide in Pakistan
to administer a fund which can be used by other organizations in Pakistan to respond quickly to the urgent
needs of Pakistanis displaced due to conflicts, crises and disasters in Pakistan.
Recognizing that Pakistan
is prone to disasters and crises, the rationale for this type of umbrella
grant is the need to be able to channel funding quickly to meet the urgent
needs of IDPs as they arise in Pakistan. Read more …
